  • Sherborne Historic Vehicle Rally (HVR)

    The 47th Sherborne Historic Vehicle Rally Delights Entrants and Visitors – The event took place on Sunday, Aug 27th, 2023 under glorious blue skies. The 121 entrants started with a 35 mile rally around the local countryside and ended showcasing their fabulous vehicles to members of the public at the historic Courts at Sherborne School.

  • International Film Festival (SHIFF)

    Each year, our club creates a pop-up cinema in Sherborne featuring some of the best film from international cinema.  The four day festival takes place in mid-late October and is held at The Powell Theatre, Sherborne.

    This year, We are really looking forward to presenting four days of excellent foreign film entertainment and hope that you will join us. The 17th Sherborne International Film Festival will be held from Thu 16 to Sun 19 October 2024 at the Powell Theatre, Abbey Road, Sherborne.  The festival featured seven multi-award-winning foreign films including work from China, Japan, France, South Korea and Columbia .

  • Youth in Our Community

    Rotary is at the heart of every community. Wherever there is a town or a city, there is a Rotary club and members are passionate about the communities in which they live and work. This is very much the way our members feel about our community of Sherborne, and as a community which has many schools, much of what we do in the town centres around young people.

  • Malawi Bridge Project

    Thankfully for most of us travelling to work, school or to the shops is an uneventful journey, but children crossing the Milo River in the rainy season to get to school have been risking their lives for years. In 2011 alone, four children died trying to cross the stream, which becomes a fast flowing river in the rainy season.

Here are some of our events that not only raise funds for both local and international causes, but also provide much valued entertainment for the Sherborne Community.

Charity Golf Day

RCSC’s annual golf day at Folke Golf Centre takes place each year in May. The ten-twelve teams taking part enjoy a course in great condition and the generous hospitality provided by all at the club. The event normally raises around £2000 for local charities, which in the past have included Future Roots, and The Countrymen Club, as well as supporting other local causes.
